Have you always wanted to learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel? Beginning students will learn how to center a ball of clay and shape it into various objects. Students with previous experience will learn techniques to make more complicated forms and hone in their skills.
This class is a great opportunity for students of all levels to explore clay on the potter’s wheel in a fun and creative atmosphere. Classes will consist of 4 sessions. The first 3 consecutive sessions will consist of working on the potter’s wheel and hand building methods including slab, coil, pinch and modeling. During the last session students will be glazing their own work.
Class fee includes unlimited use of clay during class time. Each student will have 2 – 3 small finished pieces after completing the 4 session class!
Class size is limited to 4 students.
